Today's storm was rough on John's alma mater. The roof was ripped off the gym at Jackson County High School, an air conditioning unit hit the gym floor along with several inches of water. The girls were to host the Regiional Tournament tonight but had to play at the middle school. May have to build a new gym!?

This is one of my Bible Buddy students, Alby Gaby. Two weeks ago in class, he quoted his memory verse for the month. Today he is in a hospital bed at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital fighting two cancers; leukemia and lymphoma. He has multiple tumors throughout his little 6 year old body. He is struggling to breathe and is in tremendous pain. It breaks my heart to see him and his Mommy and family going through this. Our memory verse he quoted to me:
Nahum 1:7
The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and He knoweth them that trust in Him.

Mark and Lauren are leaving tomorrow evening to go on a mission trip to Haiti. Tonight we went to their house to pray over them. Of course they weren't wearing these cute glasses when we prayed for them.

Our favorite new show this year is "Big Bang Theory". The series is in its seventh season but we are new to it, so we have been watching the new season and renting the old seasons to catch up. In tonight's new episode Sheldon and Amy shared their first kiss. Fun!

Coffee Girls is the most fun day of the week! Today we celebrated the birthdays of Amanda Keeton and Amy Durfee. Amanda's favorite cake is my cheesecake and it was a huge hit! These girls are so much fun to be with!

Today is World Cancer Day so I wanted to share my cancer hero. As a child I went to sleep many nights worried about my Daddy. I can remember crying for him and praying for him. There were what seemed like hundreds of hospital stays. I was too young to know what it was like for my Mom dealing with this and having two small children at home. God answered thousands of prayers! Daddy's testimony and smile have always been the high light of his character! Praise God for sparing him!
